Is the current structure of local and/or state school boards meeting the governance needs of our schools?

Are current school student discipline practices (detention, suspension and explusion) an effective deterence to inappropriate and unsafe behavior?

Is the current structure of private and public grants providing schools with an effective means to try new and innovative practices?

Should parents have unfettered access to schools and classrooms during the school day via technology or in person?

Should students and teachers be permitted to carry and use personal communication devices (cell phones, laptops, etc.) during school hours?

Should it be easier for school leadership to terminate a tenured teacher for poor performance?

Are schools utilizing current security technology in ways that protect the school community from harm while not infringing on personal rights?

Should school computer networks have strict internet content filtering "blocks" in place to protect students or should the networks be open?

Should teacher and principal tenure be abolished, left intact or modified to be renewable every five or so years?

Should state and federal school aid be equitable among all schools regardless of need?

Should only those households with students living in them be required to pay a local school tax?

Should businesses be required to participate in school funding through a tax other than their property taxes?

Should there be a standard cap on per student expenditure or should that be left to the schools?

Is in increase in so-called "sin taxes" (alcohol, gambling, etc) a viable alternative to current school funding methods? Why or why not?

Is the current and most prevalent practice of funding schools primarily through property taxes effective? If not, is there a better way?
